Stanly County Animal Control has partnered with Pet Harbor to help increase adoption rates of animals at the shelter. Pet Harbor allows people to search the current adoptable animals. This list is updated daily.

When you go to www.petharbor.com do the following:
- Enter your zip code on the left.
- Click on “Adopt a Pet” or if you have lost a pet click on “Lost my Pet”
- Click the box next to “Stanly County Animal Control: Albemarle, NC” and any other locations you want to search.
- Once you have selected all the shelters you want to search click “Use this Shelter List”
- From there you can click the type of animal you are looking for (Dog, Cat, Other).
- Click “Search Now” to view all the animals of your selected type at the shelter(s).
